To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Children's Kidney Fund, a special charity concert titled "Children's Kidney Fund, Heading Towards 30th Anniversary Charity Concert" will be held. This event aims to raise funds in support of research on paediatric kidney diseases and to provide assistance to families of affected children, while conveying messages of love and hope through music.
Established in 1996, the Children's Kidney Fund is a registered charitable organization exempted from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. Founded by a dedicated group of medical professionals, social workers, lawyers, and parents of children with kidney diseases, the Fund has consistently supported children affected by kidney disease and their families. Our mission is to create an ideal living environment to help these children be seen, embraced, and nurtured as they navigate their challenging treatment journey.
The Fund raises donations to meet the diverse needs of children, including providing financial assistance to alleviate the impact of kidney disease on their daily lives and offering transportation subsidies to make hospital visits more manageable. Additionally, we organize educational and family activities to share the latest medical knowledge and practical information on kidney diseases, ensuring families and caregivers for affected children are supported every step of the way.
The upcoming charity concert will feature performances by acclaimed artists, including Maria Cordero, Spencer Leung Sze Ho, Jason Ng Kar Lok, Kandy Tang Chiu Chun, Hubert Chan Wun Yan, Ngan Mic-Go, Venus Chi, Stacey Long, Albert Chau, Liu Yang, and Jackie Li Jin Kai (in no particular order). Through their singing and performances, they will send blessings to the children and appeal to the community to unite in spreading love.
All proceeds from the concert will directly support the Children's Kidney Fund and the Paediatric Nephrology Research at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, bringing hope and positive change to more children and families affected by kidney disease.
Let us come together through the power of music to embrace every child with care and compassion.
